The FeeHave a look at the section Understanding the fee to get a better idea of how it is structured. Families are all volunteers. Host families agree to provide free board and accept you as part of the family. They deserve an occasional reward. Daily expensesTransport to school can be free or occasionally quite expensive. You also have to be prepared to pay for your school lunches, pocket money and stationery. Every country has their own way of doing things and we give the best advice we can well before you leave. Most of this advice is based on what we’ve been told by returning students. Pocket moneyIn Europe you need to have 200 Euros a month available. Most people seem to manage quite well on this but some are shopaholics while others spend very little. Money transfersYou need to talk to your bank before you leave to see what will be the best way to transfer money from New Zealand with the least cost. We will give you advice offered by returned students and our own experience but what you do is up to you. |
